Willow Kaplan

Willow Kaplan is a senior from Maple Glen, Pennsylvania, pursuing a B.A. in Public Policy and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies with a minor in French. She has held internships with the Bank of New York, the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, and the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, gaining experience in human resources, policy development, and the legal system. At Duke, Willow is the Co-President of the Duke Feminist Union and serves as Policy Committee Co-Chair for the Sexual Harassment and Assault Prevention and Education Initiative, where she works to strengthen Title IX policies and raise awareness about gender violence prevention. She has also been an active leader in the Duke University Union, most recently as the First-Year Intern Program Chair, where she mentors 20 first-year students and guides their professional and leadership development. Her academic and extracurricular work reflects a strong commitment to advancing gender equity, supporting students, and shaping more inclusive institutions. After graduation, Willow plans to pursue a career at the intersection of human resources and public policy, with a focus on fostering equity and inclusion in organizational practice.
