Ellen Zhang is a senior majoring in both Economics and Public Policy. She is from Charlotte, North Carolina and is very passionate about tax policy, having spent over 7 years volunteering in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. She is especially interested in studying how tax policy affects low-income families and how taxation could be made more equitable. On campus, she is a proud member of the Service Opportunities in Leadership (SOL) program, a resident assistant, and a TA for Economics. After graduation, she plans on taking a gap year and working in consulting before applying to law school, where she hopes to continue studying taxation.
