Jacqueline Irvin is a Senior from San Francisco, California, studying Public Policy and Psychology, with a Certificate in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Her interests lie at the intersection of legal and policy studies, and she has pursued this passion both on and off campus. Jacqueline supported the Bass Connections group “Politics and Polarization in Mainline Protestant Congregations” as a research assistant investigating trends in polarizing language in sermons given in North Carolina, in addition to dedicating her time to Duke Votes and Duke’s Bench and Bar Pre-Law society. In past years, she has worked for Congresswoman Jackie Speier, as a legal intern at Proskauer, and in Government Affairs with HII. She currently serves as VoPro’s Student Ambassador to Duke, supporting voter protection efforts in North Carolina and getting out the vote for the 2024 election. In the future, Jacqueline hopes to attend law school and continue to work in the legal field after graduation.
