Ishita Vaid

Ishita Vaid is a senior majoring in Public Policy Studies, with a minor in Political Science and a Digital Intelligence certificate. Her thesis examines the extent to which AI has altered the political misinformation climate. At Duke, Ishita serves as the Editor for Strategic Initiatives and the Enterprise Project Lead at the Chronicle and an Undergraduate Intern for the Society Centered AI initiative. She also works as a research assistant for the Duke Technology Policy lab, and has previously assisted on research projects for the Duke Political Science department, China Lab at the Duke Law school and a Bass Connections project on platform accountability in technology policy. Ishita hopes to pursue a career exploring the evolving legal landscape of media and technology policy.
