Jax Nalley is a fourth-year Robertson Scholar from Northwest Arkansas studying public policy, Romance languages, and religion. Apart from his studies, Jax serves as Chief of Staff for Duke Student Government, is a Duke Chapel Scholar, and is a member of the POLIS Student Committee. His most formative experiences in college include coordinating client services at the New Orleans Public Defenders Office, working for an NGO in Aix-en-Provence, France, and studying theology for a semester at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Jax is broadly interested in progressive policymaking in the South, particularly in the realm of educational equity. He hopes to attend law school and one day work as a civil rights attorney.
