Sofia is a senior Public Policy student from Mamaroneck, New York. She is passionate about women’s rights, equal access to education, and gun safety. Sofia has worked as a political mobilization volunteer on local and national campaigns, and interned at a non-profit promoting gender equality and serving women and female students in the Triangle area. She has also interned at a political media consulting firm.  At Duke she tutors local Durham students, and she is a Research Assistant for Dr. Deondra Rose in the Sanford School. After graduating, Sofia hopes to pursue a career in political or non-profit consulting, or work on a campaign.
