Jazper Lu is a senior majoring in public policy and political science. At Duke, he serves as the elections/centennial editor for The Chronicle, as co-president of The Ciceronian Society, and as a student council member for the Duke Program in American Grand Strategy. He was previously the managing editor for The Chronicle’s 119th volume and was a senator of Durham and community affairs on Duke Student Government. Jazper has done research on the targeting of infrastructure in the Middle East and North Africa under Dr. Erika Weinthal and on broader national security topics at the Center for Political-Military Analysis. Outside of Duke, he has interned at and published stories in The News & Observer, where he wrote about state politics, and The Wall Street Journal, where he wrote about U.S.-China issues. After graduation, Jazper hopes to attend law school.
