Michael is a Senior from High Point, NC studying Public Policy. He has always been fascinated by the complexity of cities and has used his time at Duke to explore his interests in city planning, with a particular focus on housing and transportation. He is an active member of Our Urban Future club and the Co-President of the Duke Initiative for Urban Studies. Michael had the opportunity to study abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, where studying the city’s bicycle infrastructure network informed the topic for his senior thesis. For his summer internship, he worked for the Duke Office of Community Affairs researching affordable housing in Durham. After graduation, he hopes to work in real estate development or city planning consulting.
