Rory Smith

Rory Smith

Rory is a Public Policy major with minors in Spanish and Economics. She’s a native of Durham, North Carolina and lifelong Blue Devil. She is passionate about the intersection of social impact and business, and has explored a range of education and social policy issues through her coursework and work experience. On campus, she is a research assistant for the Sanford School of Public Policy. Previously, she collaborated on the Bass Connections research team, “Celebrating Latinx Culture with a Spanish Reading Program,” in addition to participating in the Addiction Professionals of North Carolina’s Leadership Academy. She currently serves as Youth Leadership Coordinator for the YES Consortium, a local nonprofit that imparts financial literacy skills to middle and high school students. After graduation, Rory will join KPMG as a State and Local Solutions Advisory Associate in New York City. Eventually, she hopes to attend law school and pursue a legal career.
