Elaine Zhang

Elaine Zhang is a senior from Hangzhou, China, majoring in Public Policy and Mathematics with a minor in Statistics. Elaine is passionate about leveraging data-driven tools to address social and policy challenges, with a particular interest in international data governance. On campus, Elaine serves as the President of the Public Policy Majors’ Union and the Executive Print Editor of the Duke Undergraduate Law Review. She has also worked as a Resident Assistant for first-year students and as a Teaching Assistant for Chinese 99, 101 and 102. During her time at Duke, Elaine spent a semester in Washington, D.C. through the Duke in D.C. program, where she interned at a global NGO, and spent a summer working at a legal service center in Miami.
