Xian (Phoebe) Zhou, she/her

Xian (Phoebe) Zhou is born and raised in Guangzhou, China. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of California Irvine, Phoebe went back to China and became a tax consultant at KPMG. While working as a tax consultant, Phoebe was mostly dealing with Transfer Pricing issues and tax planning related engagements. Cooperating with multinational enterprises has brought her interest of policy analysis, as it required the consultant to be familiar with tax policies in different countries. Two-year work experience gives her a clearer picture of her future career path and is also the reason lead her back to school again. In everyday life, Phoebe likes to cook Western and Chinese food for her family. She has a dog named “boba”, an adorable Shiba Inu borned in California and now living in Guangzhou with her.
