Jakob Albrecht is a second-year Master’s student in Public Policy at the Hertie School Berlin, currently spending a semester on exchange at Duke University. During his studies, he conducted research on poverty and inequality in Germany as a Junior Policy Officer with the German Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs and worked for the GovTech startup PUBLIC (now: Possible). Before starting his Master’s, Jakob worked for two years as an Associate at the public affairs consulting firm GAULY, including a year-long secondment with Google’s Government Affairs team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and international Organization from the University of Groningen. Outside of class, you’ll most likely find Jakob in his running shoes in nature or reading a good book on his couch.
