All Students:<\/strong> Will get set up on payroll. It is important that when you arrive in town you contact Sanford HR at <\/strong>sspp-hr@duke.edu<\/strong><\/a> and schedule an appointment with her regarding setting you up on payroll. Please feel free to schedule an appointment by email before you arrive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Payroll Set Up Please Bring: <\/strong><\/p>\n

International students: <\/strong>Bring all visa and immigration documentation.<\/p>\n

Domestic students: <\/strong>Bring your passport OR<\/strong> two of the three following items: driver\u2019s license, official copy of birth certificate, or original Social Security Card (no photocopies allowed).<\/p>\n

Payroll for Sanford Undergraduate\/Graduate Students<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. When a student comes to Grace Wright to set up payroll, they should bring the following documents:\n
      \n
    1. Domestic students <\/strong>please bring either your passport OR<\/strong> any 2 of the following items: driver\u2019s license, and social security card, or birth certificate (originals, not photocopies).<\/li>\n
    2. International students <\/strong>please bring your passport, visa, and any other immigration documents. HR will give you a VISA letter to present at Visa Services.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. After meeting with HR in-person, expect an email from SuccessFactors to electronically complete the following forms:\n
        \n
      1. W-4 Federal Income Tax<\/li>\n
      2. NC-4 North Caroline State Income Tax<\/li>\n
      3. I-9 form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Domestic students<\/strong> will complete the documents requested in 1a.<\/li>\n
        2. International students<\/strong> will present the immigration documents when they checked in at Visa Services<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. International students<\/strong> will fill out a Foreign National Form. They should contact Debbie.Endsley@duke.edu<\/a> for assistance on the tax treaty section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

                1. The Direct Deposit Policy<\/strong><\/a> will be applicable to all Sanford students who receive payments and other disbursements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Enrollment Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                  – To enroll in direct deposit, you must<\/p>\n

                    \n
                  1. Log into Duke@Work<\/a> using your NetID credentials.<\/li>\n
                  2. Click on the \u201cMy Info\u201d tab.<\/li>\n
                  3. Under \u201cMy Pay Tab\u201d, click \u201cCreate\/Update My Bank Account for Direct Deposit<\/li>\n
                  4. Enter your banking routing number and account number.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    You should receive a confirmation email with an effective date. The direct deposit will be effective for the next available pay date after the confirmation date.<\/p>\n

                    If you are receiving a non-compensatory payment, you should update your direct deposit information using the Duke Hub.<\/a><\/p>\n
