Activities that count toward the Management/Leadership Requirement
- Participation in MPP Student Council (as an elected representative) satisfies 3 credit hours of the Management/Leadership requirement. It does not count toward the 51 credit hours needed to graduate. You can notify your academic advisor of your plans to use MPP Student Council as part of your Management/Leadership requirement by sending your advisor a message on Stellic (click the envelope icon in them top right corner of your home screen in Stellic).
- Successful completion of the Sanford Board Leadership Initiative satisfies 3 credit hours of the Management/Leadership requirement. It does not count toward the 51 credit hours needed to graduate. You can notify the SBLI Leadership Team of your plans to use SBLI as part of your Management/Leadership requirement on the final project submission form.
Courses taken outside Sanford
- Many graduate-level courses taken outside the Sanford school may count toward the MPP degree. If these courses are listed as “unmatched” in Stellic, please contact your academic advisor to request that the course count toward your degree. Courses that do not pertain to policy may not count. You may be asked to provide a syllabus. It’s always safest to get approval before registering for courses outside the Sanford School.
*Please contact Genille if you believe a course substitution, exemption, or waiver is not reflected properly on your Stellic degree audit.
