Maya Miller is a senior from Des Moines, Iowa. She studies public policy, journalism, and environmental science. After graduating, she plans to pursue a career in journalism as a reporter. Maya discovered her passion for journalism and reporting only after she arrived at Duke and took inspiration from a professor who would become her thesis advisor – Bill Adair. Outside of work, she plays flute in the Duke University Marching Band and contributes stories to The Chronicle.<\/p>\n
